Terms and conditions of delivery

Our Terms and Conditions of Delivery as lodged with the District Court of Den Haag on January 11th 1984 (No.4/1984)

1. These conditions of delivery and payment apply to ALL transactions between Jongbloed Juridische Boekhandel and her clients.
2. Invoices must be paid within one month of the presentation date.
3. On exceeding the due date, the outstanding amount is claimed in full. All collecting charges (legal or out of court) will be recovered from the client and interest of 1,25% (per month of part thereof) will be charged on the outstanding amount up until the date of complete discharge Only after full remittance of the invoiced amount including any incurred costs of collection of charges plus interest payments., shall the ownership of the item(s) be passed on to the client.
4. We have the right to charge separately for postage, handling, administration and/or delivery costs.
5. None of our offers are binding in as far as price, content and design as well as delivery time and availability are concerned.
6. Cancellation or return of orders is not possible unless in case of misprints and always within the stipulated terms of the publisher(s)
7. Claims will only be accepted if presented within 14 days after delivery or receipt of invoice and only after verification of validity on our part.
8. Subscriptions to periodicals, loose-leaf and serial publications can only be accepted on the condition of “until further notice” unless by prior arrangement. Subsequently the subscription is automatically renewed each year. Cancellations must be notified at least 3 months before the end of the year or else in accordance with the publisher’s conditions but always with at least 3 months notice.
9. We cannot supply statements of completed transactions and advice our clients to keep all invoices for tax purposes etc.
10. Books sent on approval will be considered as sold and will be invoiced if not returned within 30 days.
11. Unless agreed otherwise e.g.(Special Deliveries etc) all shipping costs will be charged to the customer.
12. We are entitled to request full payment or a deposit for all books ordered or reserved. All items must be purchased within a fixed term of 10 days after our written confirmation. If this term is exceeded, you will be obliged to purchase the item(s), your deposit will be lost and the full price will be charged.
13. Exceptions to all the above conditions can only be made after written agreement.
14. When the customer orders or reserves, whether he pays cash or on account he agrees to accept all the above terms and conditions.
15. All disputes rising from or concerning contracted agreements and/or these terms and conditions will be brought before the District Court of Den Haag.

Conditions of delivery / conditions of use

Cash Payment/ Chip and Pin/Book Token
If you wish to pick up your Order from the Shop, by prior agreement, you can pay Cash or use “Chip and Pin” at the Cash Desk. You can also redeem a Book Token (partially or completely) towards your Purchase or use the following Credit Cards.

Payment by credit cards
We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express Card. Your Credit Card Details will be used solely for the purpose of Processing your Order and for the Acknowledgement by the Credit Card Company through the Usual Procedures. The actual Payment is NOT processed via the Internet. Transmission of your Credit Card Details is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Your details are always confidential and will never be used for any purpose other than the Processing of your Orders and Payments.

For Credit Card Payments we need your CVC (Credit Card Security Code).

If you choose to pay your Order by Credit Card, we need to know the Credit Card Company’s Name, your Account Number and Expiry Date. We will send you an e-mail to confirm your Payment Instructions.

Alternative payments
If you choose not to use Credit Card Payment we will send you an Order Confirmation by email. On Delivery you will receive an Invoice with a Giro Payment Slip (OLA) or a Delivery Note followed by an Invoice.

We regret that for International Orders we can only accept Credit Card Payments.

Prior to receipt of Full Payment all Ordered Items remain our Property.

Delivery time
If we have your Order in stock it will be sent to you as soon as we receive your Payment. Otherwise we will advise you by email if there is a delay due to outside suppliers.

Pricing
Some of our prices are comparative i.e. if a book is listed as “to be published” the price is a comparative price estimate and can change up until the actual Publishing Date. We conform to the Recognised Publishers’ Price Guides. Price adjustments are possible due to publishers’ advice or Exchange Rate Variations in case of foreign publications.. Our prices are always quoted in Euro.

Except where noted otherwise, the prices on our web site are inclusive of VAT. As a rule, books, periodicals and loose-leaf editions are subject to 6% VAT and electronic products are subject to 19% VAT, although exceptions are possible. VAT is applied according to statutory law.

Book prices are fixed by Law as of July 2005. Please click on wetten.overheid.nl (Dutch government legislation).

Postage and packing
Within the Netherlands electronic Shopping Cart Orders over 20 Euro are exempt from P&P. For orders under 20 Euro we charge P&P at 5 Euro per order.
All other non-electronic orders are subject to a 5Euro charge for P&P.

Outside the Netherlands we charge current postal rates (a minimum of 6 Euro within Europe and a minimum of 12 Euro outside Europe.)

Please state if you choose to pick up your Order from one of our shops. In such cases we assume that you wish to pay in the shop.

P&P is a combination of postage, administration and handling charges.
